Rating
As the other reviewer mentioned, this boat has no Boston valves--it has the same plug-type air valves that a kid's raft has, as if you're going to fill it by mouth (the side tubes are inflated to 1psi and took 15 minutes each with a fast pump; I can't imagine inflating them by mouth).
The floor has its own valve, and on the one I got, that one has no one-way flap in it. In order to inflate the floor, you have to pump faster than it deflates and then plug it quickly. The one-way valves on the side tubes make the boat nearly impossible to deflate (I put a chopstick in it to hold it open).
The included paddle bites, so the thirty bucks you save over the Tahiti is totally NOT worth it. The boat may be based on the same design, but it's far from the same boat. Mine's going back before it ever sees water.

Rating
I am not sure what others on the reviews are referring to about difficult inflation. I purchased a Tahiti Classic and my husband bought the Fiji just because it was cheaper and he thought he could outdo my choice...and he won. The Tahiti is highly recommended on amazon and it was going to be my first choice, but we ended up purchasing the both models at the local store because they were on some kind of sale and I very pleased by the outcome.

We went to the river the same day as purchase and we already had a cheap pump that we used with an old coleman 2 person raft.
http://www.amazon.com/Sevylor-Double-Action-Hand-River/dp/B001BXQDLU/ref=sr_1_6?ie=UTF8&qid=1249316319&sr=8-6
It looks a lot like that, but ours was about $10 at WalMart a few years ago. It worked perfect for the two boats and about 7 minutes later we were ready to paddle around. You do have to play around with the valves for a bit to make the pump work, but IT DOES WORK; very well. There was not a piece of this raft I had to put my mouth on except the stupid seats (which are sewn in on the Fiji and separate on the Tahiti). I did not like either seat and recommend not using them.

The boats are practically identical. They had the same valves, the same pieces, and were about the same size. In fact the Fiji was a tad bit bigger and could hold more weight. (400lbs to 377lbs in the Tahiti).

I have used the fancy kayaks (plastic;hard body) in the ocean, lake, and river. I found those are annoying to balance in and I would topple over a lot. These blowups have much more stability and I find myself not so worried about balance and more interested in the fun of kayaking. I had no problem steering, but if you do then there is an add on http://www.amazon.com/Sevylor-U110BLK-00-000-Skeg/dp/B0019M5E54/ref=pd_bxgy_sg_img_b to make that easier. The Fiji is prettier than the Tahiti just because I like blue better and very comfortably fits one person. I do not recommend two people as that is always a bad idea in a kayak.

I do not expect either kayak to last a lifetime, but for our kayaking lifestyle (every weekend in the summer on mostly Class I-III and lake use) the Fiji (and Tahiti) suit us perfectly. We spent about $200 total (I had to buy a paddle as the Tahiti does not come with one) and I feel it was worth every penny. I also will not cry about this kayak being destroyed eventually by time and water hazards because I can easily just buy another one. Even if I had to replace it once a year, it is still cheaper than renting kayaks and MUCH cheaper than a hard body kayak (and if you ever damage one of those hard bodies the repair can be more than the Fiji). Also, if I had bought one of the fancier, more expensive blowups then I would be so paranoid about ruining it I might not enjoy it as much and the inevitable ALWAYS happens with blow ups; leaks and holes that JUST HAPPEN. Even the really nice boats have that problem.

If you're a die hard kayak person (the kind that wear the helmets and take it all seriously) then of course, this is not a boat for you, but you should already know that and probably do own several of those very expensive plastic kayaks and shouldn't even be reading this review because I have already annoyed you. But if you are like my husband and I and you enjoy floating around the water and hate rowing then I recommend this purchase. As long as you don't get your expectations too high and don't launch in sticks and rocks or run into trees you should enjoy this kayak for a little while at least and please remember to clean the kayak and put it in a bag/box where you can't puncture holes and AWAY FROM THE SUN (this is very imporatant so don't be lazy or you will waste your money); we had that two person raft for a few years and many summer uses before we had to trash it (accidental encounter with dropping in a blackberry bush) and it was way less quality than this boat.

Rating
If you are a child for petite woman under 90 pounds you will find this is a great value. But this quickly becomes a poor kayak if you weigh more. a 150 pound person over 5 feet tall will have an extremely uncomfortable time on a lake because the rear seat is so low, you will be slouching. On a river this might be okay if you are just going down river. If you are 200 pounds do not consider this. Your weigh will make a dip in a the canoe and you will be the lowest thing bumping along the bottom of the river. With your legs in the air you will find it exhausting to paddle. Adding a canoe seat won't help-- your legs will still be in the air.

However for a child it's great. it's light weight and easy to maneuver. my 60 pounder sat forward in this and had ablast controlling it in waves and wind on a lake. The short, adjustable and light weigh paddle is actually a bonus for a kid: they won't care it's flimsy by adult standards and the weight is better for them.

It's got about 15 pinch nozzles to fill. Which is not awful but is annoying to deflate. You cannot properly inflate the main tubes with your lungs, or a standard matress blower. You need a hand or foot pump. And if you don't the raft will bend if you way over 100 pounds. THe side valves do not fit any standard pinch valve or coleman valve inflators so be sure to buy one made for a seveylor.

Rating
I would like to rate it between 3* and 4*.

Pro:

1.	Price is great. Cheapest solution for whitewater rafting
2.	OK for class I or II whitewater, fine for flat-water, Ocean-surfing
3.	Looking good
4.	Including fine paddle and repair kits
5.	Quite Stable
6.	Comfort is not too bad
7.	Easy to store or transport
8.	Very popular among amateur paddlers in China

Con:
1.	Speed is kind of slow
2.	Tracking is not great at all
3.	Pump air (inflate) used to be a problem (slow), but solved after I bought a 12v Sevylor pump. Now deflate it takes more time(>10 minutes)
4.	Space is enough for one adult or one adult with a little kid. More suitable for one person on small lake or small river.
5.	Not very durable. Expect 20 to 30 uses.

At $80 cost, we can't expect much. The much more expensive Sevylor Models( Rio, Colorado or River) certainly do much better on many things. It makes sense.
2.	OK for class I or II whitewater, fine for flat-water, Ocean-surfing

3.	Looking good

4.	Including fine paddle and repair kits

5.	Quite Stable

6.	Comfort is not too bad

7.	Easy to store or transport

8.	Very popular among amateur paddlers in China

Con:

1.	Speed is kind of slow

2.	Tracking is not great at all

3.	Pump air (inflate) used to be a problem (slow), but solved after I bought a 12v Sevylor pump. Now deflate it takes more time(>10 minutes)

4.	Space is enough for one adult or one adult with a little kid. More suitable for one person on small lake or small river.

5.	Not very durable. Expect 20 to 30 uses.

At $80 cost, we can’t expect much. The much more expensive Sevylor Models( Rio, Colorado or River) certainly do much better on many things. It makes sense.
